The IV International Humanitarian Forum «Regional Civil Initiatives of the 60th Parallel» took place in Surgut on 7-8 December
December 7-8, 2019, Surgut (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug - Ugra, Russia).
The IV International Humanitarian Forum was held in cooperation with Eurasian Women Forum and the Federation Council. With more than 700 people from 9 regions of the Russian Federation and foreign countries of Latvia, Serbia, Switzerland, India and Thailand, the Forum was attended by government representatives, businessmen, active citizens.
One of the main objectives of the Forum was to present the practices of involving citizens in solving urgent social issues, as well as to study Russian and foreign civil societies. Issues relating to human rights protection and social control were discussed, along with participants sharing the best practices and ideas for involving the population in local self-government.
The programme of the Forum included lectures, discussions, training sessions, foresight sessions and masterclasses on emotional intelligence and public speaking skills. Moreover, during the Forum was held the award ceremony of «Priznaniye–2019» best social project district award.
The Forum aimed to strengthen and develop communication. The development of communication between people and creative approach will affect the economy, politics, culture, education and modern technologies significantly, as well as help finding optimal solutions to social problems. The Forum was organized by the Government of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug - Ugra.
