Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke at the opening of the third Eurasian Women's Forum, which is taking place in St. Petersburg.
The main topic of discussion was “Women: a global mission in a new reality”.
The Russian leader noted that women leaders - politicians, entrepreneurs, public figures from more than 100 countries of the world - gathered on the sidelines of the forum.
The President also noted the successful development of cooperation with such associations as BRICS, APEC, UNIDO, "women's twenty".
“The modern, dynamically changing world sets new tasks for society and states.
In their decision, women, of course, play an increasingly significant role.
These are issues of sustainable economic development, and the global climate agenda, problems of ecology, environmental protection, new approaches to education as a process that accompanies a person throughout his life, the desire to build a system of social support on fairer, more balanced principles, ”Putin said.
