World child's dayIn 1954, the UN General Assembly proposed the introduction of a new holiday in honor of the protection and support of children around the world - World Children's Day. Over time, it began to be celebrated on November 20 - in honor of the day when the Declaration of the Rights of the Child and the Convention on the Rights of the Child were adopted.
Today, the Eurasian Union of Women Regional Leaders pays a lot of attention to supporting children in the field of education, as well as developing the Children's Marathon site.
The marathon was held within the framework of the Russian regional EWF week and became the main event of the teleconference "Children - the future of the world", organized by the "Eurasian Children's Community".
During the online meeting, more than 50 adolescents aged 12-17 years from different regions of Russia and the CIS countries had the opportunity not only to speak out on global topics of interest to them, but also, together with experts, to form a digital message to women leaders of the Eurasian Women's Forum.
In it, the guys offered their vision and practical steps to achieve the five Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the United Nations. Young participants presented their views on the issues of ecology, education, health, digital security and sustainable energy.
