The declaration of intent to create Eurasian Association of Women-Regional Leaders was adopted during the international discussion club 'Women-governors: strategy of efficiency and development of territories' within the framework of the Eurasian Women's Forum 2018.
The agreement on coordination of the progress in this area within the Eurasian Women's Forums and other events attended by the women-regional leaders was reached.
Thus, on October 2-3, 2019, Natalia Komarova, Governor of the Autonomous Okrugpaid a visit to the Republic of Serbia in order to participate into an international conference 'Women-Leaders and Sustainable Development-Truly Equal' held in Belgrade. Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs and Anti-discrimination and Gender Equality Department of the Republic of Serbia were the organizers of the conference. The aim of the conference was to develop women's leadership and exchange experience and examples of working practices.
On December 7-8, in Surgut, a strategic session and a discussion club 'Women's Influence on the Development of Regions' under support of Eurasian Women's Forum, World Communication Forum in Davos, Women Influence Community, Salym Petroleum Development N.V., took place on the sidelines of the IV International Humanitarian Forum 'Civil Initiatives of the 60th Parallel Regions'.
A cooperation agreement between the Government of Ugra, Center for Support of Youth Creative Initiatives (Roskulttsentr), Roscongress Foundation social platform - Innosocium Foundation was signed on June 29, 2020. The subject of the trilateral agreement is development and support of cultural and creative industries, youth creativity, implementation of creative industries projects in Ugra. Among the key areas there are projects on the development of cultural and creative potential of the region, support of creative initiatives of young people, the methodology of cultural and creative industries development and others.
Natalia Komarova, the Governor of the Autonomous Okrug, held a live broadcast with bloggers, entrepreneurs, representatives of creativity industry, managers of the regional associations for creative start-ups. The broadcast took place on September 11, in the Instagram account of the Governor.
In addition to that, the internet platform 'Eurasian Association of Women-Regional Leaders' https://women-leaders.ru/ru/ is actively involved into work. It became extremely relevant under the current conditions. The platform enables women-leaders from different regions of the world to exchange their practices, which could be possibly distributed and are already operating as entrepreneurial buffer for the economy issues caused by pandemic.
Currently, the platform is actively filled with the projects provided by more than 200 future participants of the Association.
7 representatives of the Autonomous Okrug participate in the educational program 'Woman-Leader' of “Senezh” Management Workshop of Presidential Platform 'Russia – Land of Opportunity' in continuing cooperation with Eurasian Women's Forum.
