The round table of the Youth Northern Forum was held in Khanty-Mansiysk

On May 25, in Khanty-Mansiysk, during the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Youth Arctic: Science for the future,” a round table of the Youth Northern Forum “Arctic and Youth: what should be the youth movement in the Arctic?” was held.  

Member of the Eurasian Association of Women Regional Leaders, Deputy Executive Director of the International Organization of Northern Regions “Northern Forum” Maximova Daryana presented the activities of the International Organization of Northern Regions “Northern Forum,” including the work of the Youth Wing of the Northern Forum.  

The round table was attended by young scientists, public figures and activists - candidates for membership, as well as partners of the Youth Northern Forum from Kamchatka, Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Yamalo-Nenets, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrugs, Magadan, Murmansk regions, Moscow, St. Petersburg, and also from 3 foreign countries: India, China and Mongolia.  

The participants shared their vision for the development of youth cooperation in the North and in the Arctic, and proposed to draw up a general plan of events under the auspices of the Youth Northern Forum.  

During the round table, young scientists, participants of the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Youth Arctic: Science for the future” spoke.  

At the next meeting of the Committee of Regional Coordinators of the Northern Forum, an updated composition will be formed, the governing council will be approved, and the chairman of the Youth Northern Forum will be appointed.
