From May 30 to June 1, 2024, in the Kemerovo region will be held the III Women's Forum in Kuzbass with a theme: "The role of women in the development of industrial regions in modern conditions.”

Galina Karelova, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council, noted the high significance of the Women's Forum. Its organization in the Kemerovo region is an important direction of expanding women's participation in the development of the subject and other industrial regions.

“The creation of such platforms as the forum in Kuzbass provides an opportunity to hold discussions on topical issues and search for solutions. The work to promote the women's agenda in Russia has never stopped. And we very much appreciate the opportunity for live communication and discussion of issues of the broadest orientation,” vice-speaker of the Federation Council emphasized.

During the forum in Kuzbass it is planned to hold four thematic tracks: “International cooperation,” “Women's leadership in the sustainable development of the industrial region,” “The role of women in the development of industrial regions in modern conditions,” “Women in decision-making.”

The forum participants will be women whose professional activity is connected with the daily solution of acute social problems. The Forum is a unique platform for sharing professional experience and working out directions for further development.

In May 2021, the events of the II Women's Forum in Kuzbass united more than 2,000 participants from 15 countries, 148 speakers at 25 venues.

Russia advocates the formation of an image of women as an important driving force of global development. Therefore, the women's movement in Russia and the holding of the forum in Kuzbass, on a regional platform, is an important direction for increasing women's participation in the development of all spheres of social life and the economy, including its fast-growing segments.
