GALINA KARELOVA NAMED THE DEVELOPMENT OF WOMEN'S ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION PRIORITY AREAS IN PROJECTS OF THE COUNCIL OF THE EURASIAN WOMEN'S FORUM
The Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council stated this at a regular meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Women's Forum under the Federation Council, which took place on April 14.
According to the senator, the support of women entrepreneurs will help save jobs, reduce social tension, and also occupy vacated market niches. She stressed that based on the results of the work of the members of the Council, specific proposals were formed and sent to the Government of the Russian Federation on priority measures to support business, some of which have already been adopted.
In addition, Galina Karelova said that the work plan of the EWF Council for 2022, which takes into account the main activities of the Council and the initiatives of the III Eurasian Women's Forum, was approved by the Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko.
The Vice Speaker of the Federation Council noted the activity of the EWF Council in the first quarter of the year, stating that despite recent events, more than 200 events took place as part of the implementation of project activities.
“Such a productive start gives the mood for a dynamic continuation of work. Let me remind you that the EWF Council has 24 projects, for all of which a roadmap for the current year with project development plans has been formed,” said the chairman of the EWF Council under the Federation Council.
Galina Karelova paid special attention to the educational program "Woman Leader", in the first international stream of which 176 women from 20 countries, including Hungary, India, Serbia and others, take part. The Vice Speaker announced the continuation of cooperation with partners in BRICS, APEC and UNIDO, naming international platforms as important platforms for the joint implementation of significant projects of the Council.

In particular, two weeks ago, with the support of UNIDO, an investment forum was organized at the EXPO site, in which Russian entrepreneurs and members of the EWF Council took part,” the senator commented.
In conclusion, Galina Karelova recalled the termination of the National Action Strategy for Women at the end of this year.
Galina Karelova announced the need to work on the formation of a new document that takes into account all strategic areas of development.
