Craftswomen from the whole Russia will meet at 'By Hands of a Woman', the festival of folk arts and crafts

Masters of folk art, artisans, designers, artists, as well as representatives of other creative directions from Russia, CIS and other countries would meet in Moscow at the beginning of November in order to participate in the 3-rd International Festival of Folk Arts and Crafts 'By Hands of a Woman'.
International Women’s Union together with Eurasian Women's Forum are the organizers of the event.
The Festival aims to introduce the diversity of arts and crafts industry in the frame of modern world and also to demonstrate the splendour of women's labour, materialising the best cultural traditions of Russia and foreign countries.
The representatives of 85 regions of Russia, including Ugra, are invited to participate in the festival. People of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug cherish the artistic tradition in a special way. The focus is shifted towards the art of the indigenous people of Ugra region - the Khanty and Mansi. There are centres for craft and historical and cultural institutions on the territory of the region, the key focus of which is the development of this art. Moreover, there are thematic competitions and festivals held in the region. Thus, in 2015 at the initiative of Natalia Komarova, Governor of Ugra, and the support of the he Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in Urals Federal District, it was agreed to hold the regional stage of the competition 'Praise the Person of Labour!' the category 'Folk Arts and Crafts', in Ugra region.
'By Hands of a Woman', the festival of folk arts and crafts, is a unique platform for the consolidation of women of different confessions and countries, what will have a positive impact on the enhancement of women movement in Russia, Europe and Asia', the organisers note.
The ethnic fashion show, a photo exhibition, workshops and networking with Russian and international experts will be held during 3 days of the festival.
The event will be held on November 3-5 at VDNH - the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy (pavilion 55) in terms of a business-platform 'Woman of the Third Millennium'.
